Alpine Valley School students are invited to attend a field trip to a local recreation center to go swimming. Please see below for all of the details about this excursion.
Who is invited to participate?
All current Alpine Valley School students may attend so long as they have a field trip permission slip signed by all parents / legal guardians and pay the required $3 fee (which will be paid to the rec center).
Staff Members Katy and Marc will be chaperoning this field trip, swimming with the students, and driving participants in their personal vehicles. Additional parents may be asked to help drive depending on the number of attendees.
Where is the field trip?
The field trip will take place at the Lakewood Link Recreation Center. Participants will be swimming in the indoor pool. No other part of the recreation center will be accessible during this field trip.
What is the cost to participate?
Each field trip participant must pay $3 cash (exact change only) to Marc or Katy either on the day of the field trip or a few days before. This fee is required by the rec center and will be used to gain entrance for all participants.
How do students sign up to go on the field trip?
Return a signed permission form to Katy or Marc by no later than Friday, April 29th. Permission forms will not be accepted on the date of the field trip.
Pay $3 cash to Katy or Marc either on the day of the field trip or before. Please provide exact change only.
What should participants bring to school on the day of the field trip?
Swim suit
Towel
Water wings / life vest (if needed)
Please note: Pool floaties are not allowed at this facility
Bag for wet items
Change of clothes
$3 (if they haven’t paid beforehand)
A car seat or booster if required (see the permission form for details.)

What’s the deadline for participation?
