How to Help

Blog Post Header.png

This time of year often inspires contemplation and gratitude for everything in our lives. For me, that includes Alpine Valley School and the many gifts I have received by being part of the community here. If you also find value in the services we provide here at Alpine Valley School, here are some ways that you can get involved:

Colorado Gives Day

At Alpine Valley School we try to keep our fundraising efforts to a minimum, and focus all of our energy on one event: Colorado Gives Day.

Colorado’s largest day of giving, Colorado Gives Day, is taking place on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. On this day, thousands of people come together to support Colorado nonprofits like ours.

When you donate to Alpine Valley School, you’re helping us provide self-directed education for the next generation of young people. Thanks to the $1 Million Incentive Fund from Community First Foundation and FirstBank your donation goes further on Colorado Gives Day. To donate to us on Colorado Gives Day, go to www.coloradogives.org/alpinevalleyschool.

Social Media

Sharing our blog posts, podcasts, videos, and other content on social media is a wonderful (and effective) way to get the word out about our school. All it takes is a quick click of the “share” button and our message of self-directed democratic education spreads far and wide. If you’re feeling extra enthusiastic, leave us a 5-star review on Google or Facebook - those really do make a difference!

Amazon Smile

Do you ever shop on Amazon? If you’re like most people, the answer is YES. And when you do, you can support Alpine Valley School with your purchase through no extra effort at all. Simply navigate to smile.amazon.com and shop just as you normally would. When you check out, a percentage of your purchase will be donated to Alpine Valley School at no additional cost to you! Just make sure you select Alpine Valley School as the beneficiary of your donation and Amazon will do all the rest.

Word of Mouth

The #1 way that potential families find our school is through word of mouth. A testimonial from a parent, student, or graduate of our school goes a very long way in helping us to increase enrollment, thereby making our community as vibrant and diverse as possible. If you find yourself in need of any resources as you share the word about our school far and wide, please contact the school and ask! We a diverse array of brochures, articles, books, and other tools that we are more than happy to share. And if the person you are speaking to would like to visit our campus, all they have to do is arrange a tour online at their convenience on this website: alpinevalleyschool.com/tour

We are a small school with limited financial resources, and so we deeply appreciate all the help our community members provide. Your efforts keep us going strong and we look forward to continuing to serve the community, and our students, for many, many years to come.
